The Institute for Rural America has a technology initiative focusing on information distribution for research and education using the World Wide Web. In approaching this area, the Institute identified core issues of focus:

  • trends & changes in the US meat industry
  • global food & agricultural trade
  • the livestock markets in an era of consolidation & change

The goal of the Institute in addressing these issues is not to set policy or regulation.  Our goal is to inform, educate and provide open forums of dialogue about the changing world of food and agriculture.  Because of that, we focus on a broad range of aspects in and throughout the food industry.
